Most Char Dham pilgrims arrive in Uttarakhand through one of three gateways — Rishikesh, Haridwar, or Dehradun. Whichever one you land in, RideRishikesh can pick you up and start your yatra from there.
Starting from Rishikesh — our base location, and the most common starting point for the Char Dham circuit. Direct pickup from any hotel, ashram, or guesthouse.
Starting from Haridwar — many pilgrims arrive by train at Haridwar Railway Station before continuing toward the dhams. We provide pickup directly from the station or your Haridwar hotel.
Starting from Dehradun — for travellers flying into Jolly Grant Airport or arriving by train at Dehradun, we offer direct pickup with onward travel toward the Char Dham routes — no need to first travel to Rishikesh separately.
Across all four routes — Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri — our drivers know the roads, the seasonal conditions, and what pilgrims need at each stage of the journey.

Haridwar is the first major stop for many pilgrims arriving by train from across India — Har Ki Pauri and the Ganga Aarti are often the starting point of the spiritual journey before the yatra itself begins.
— we provide direct pickup from Haridwar Railway Station, with onward travel toward your chosen dham(s) without needing a separate transfer to Rishikesh first.
— if you're staying overnight in Haridwar before starting the yatra, we pick up directly from your hotel.
The driving distances from Haridwar to each dham are roughly similar to those from Rishikesh (an additional ~20-25 km), so travel times are only marginally longer.
For travellers flying in, Dehradun is often the entry point to Uttarakhand.
Jolly Grant Airport pickup — direct pickup from Jolly Grant Airport with onward travel toward the Char Dham routes. This saves the time and cost of a separate transfer to Rishikesh before starting your yatra.
Dehradun hotels — pickup from any hotel in Dehradun city for travellers who've arrived by train or are staying overnight before the yatra.
Direct pickup, no detours — whether you're heading toward Yamunotri (via Mussoorie), or toward Gangotri/Kedarnath/Badrinath (via Rishikesh-Devprayag), we plan the most direct route from your Dehradun pickup point.
A practical, economical choice for smaller groups. Works well for Badrinath and Gangotri routes (mostly paved roads). Less ideal for the rougher final stretches toward Gaurikund and Janki Chatti.
The most popular and recommended choice for Char Dham. Better ground clearance, more comfortable seating for long drives, and more reassuring on mountain roads — especially important for senior citizens and groups travelling together.

The traditional Char Dham circuit follows a specific sequence, based on geography and tradition:
(via Mussoorie, Barkot, Janki Chatti)
(via Uttarkashi)
(via Guptkashi, Gaurikund)
(via Joshimath)
This sequence minimises backtracking across the Garhwal Himalayas and is the route most pilgrim groups follow for the complete circuit. Individual dhams can, of course, be visited in any order or independently of the others.
Visit one dham — Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, or Yamunotri — as a focused trip. Typically 3-5 days depending on the destination and your starting point.
Cover two dhams in one trip — a popular combination is Kedarnath and Badrinath, both reached via similar routes through Rudraprayag. Typically 6-8 days.
The full traditional circuit covering all four dhams in sequence. Typically 10-12 days, including travel time, darshan, and rest days at altitude. The same vehicle and driver travel with you throughout.
